Thomas J. McLaughlin Scholarship Award

Every year, the Archbishop Ryan Ice Hockey Club awards a $1000. grant to a graduating Senior player towards their Freshman year college tuition fees.  The qualifications for the award are as follows:

·        Must be a 4 year Senior player;

 ·        Grade Point Average of 3.0 or better (or 80, please include a copy of your transcript);

·        A letter from their coach regarding their character;

 ·        500 word essay on the topic “what hockey has meant to them”;

 ·        Three teacher recommendation letters.

This information must be forwarded to the attention of Cathy Marbach, to the address below, no later than March 21, 2010.  The Award Committee will evaluate all applicants, regardless of team!  The award will be given in 2 equal amounts of $500 at the beginning of each semester.  A copy of the tuition bill is required for payment.
